This automation system is designed to automatically offer subscribers your products in the right order, skipping anything they've already purchased and sending them toward the next relevant offer. It runs in the background and works for any number of products.
The system is made up of two automations that work together:
The Upsell Control Automation starts when the tag Start Upsell Automation is applied to a subscriber. This tag is typically applied at the end of another automation. For example, it might be applied at the end of a welcome automation (like the one in the Lead magnet → Short welcome and nurture sequence page), after a subscriber has been properly introduced to your content and is ready to hear about your products.

Once a subscriber enters the automation, it runs them through a series of condition filters, one for each product you sell. Each filter checks whether the subscriber has the purchase tag associated with a given product.

Note on purchase tags: You'll need to set up a tag for each product that gets applied when a subscriber makes a purchase. The exact method depends on your checkout platform, but the tag is what tells Kit that someone has purchased a particular product.
